On Tuesday 9th August, Year 2 visited the Seymour Centre to watch a play called ‘The 52 Storey Treehouse’ which was adapted from the book written by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton.
The play was about Andy and Terry’s 52 storey treehouse with fantastic inventions: a watermelon smashing room, a chainsaw-juggling level, a rocket powered carrot launcher, and even a Ninja Snail Training Academy.
It all happened on a special day – it was Andy’s birthday, but Terry had forgotten! To make matters worse Mr Big Nose had mysteriously disappeared, and to top it all off, Jill had fallen into a deep sleep and they just couldn’t wake her up. So Andy and Terry set off on a crazy adventure tackling a world of obstacles including a hungry caterpillar, an angry vegetable kingdom, and a 100 year ninja-snail epic adventure. Eventually, they found Mr Big Nose and rescued him from the evil vegetables with the help of Vegetable Patty.
Take a look at the photos below! We had a lovely picnic lunch at the park before we watched the play.
